Sky Watch: Garbejaire

This will be the last Sky Watch in January...unbelievable, isn't it? I'm sure someone must have spun the planet a little faster.
This is Garbejaire, the modern part of Valbonne where an attempt has been made to incorporate Provencal charm into the design of the buildings but it was only when I caught sight of the reflection of the building and that blue sky did I see the possibilities.

The Mediatheque

Because of space constraints and to serve a rapidly increasing population expansion has to happen away from the old village so the new Mediatheque is located in Garbejaire, the "modern" part of Valbonne. It's where I took the last photo too.

The Mediatheque opened last year and houses books, CDs and DVDs which you can borrow, and a snack bar. It's a pleasant airy building which provides a focal point for the community.
