Upon Reflection..Let's Have Lunch

A sunny day, and those are rarer than hen's teeth round here, and the beginning of lunch time; the tables are laid and the staff are eating their lunch under the arcades.
This bar/restaurant is immensely popular because of its situation but when we first moved here it consisted of two or three tables under the terrace during the summer and a smoky, dingy room inside through the Winter. I reckon that the present arrangement is a change for the better.

Funny, Angela, you and I present today, the staff of a restaurant at its break-time. Without counsulting each others !

This reflection is so perfect. It looks like a mirror.
Is it in Valbonne ? A huge terrace in any case.
You're so used to have good weather that an entire week of bad weather looks like a disaster. Here, we're so used to grey that each week passed in Menton looks like Paradise : )

Great reflection. This looks like a busy, happy place. "upon reflection," I'd stop in for lunch.

Great title. I'd be in for one of those languishing lunhes, not a bite on the run here.

Your photos are lovely, Angela.
But as for the Café des Arcades in Valbonne, I'm a little confused. Although there are more tables now, when we arrived in 1977 there were always many tables under the arcade (facing the two great old trees in front, now gone). Certainly not only two or three. We used to meet our friends there for coffee every Sunday mornings. It was humming and continued to hum ever more over the years that followed. The smoky room, full of local people, was certainly inside. And I miss it!
