2 CV

I took a mountain of photos of this 2CV get together though not many came out well partly because the cars were seriously on the move, their drivers focused on getting out of the car park and partly because I didn't want to be run over; a definite possibility, believe me.
The theme was Woodstock: 40 years on and many of the drivers were in hippy gear and the cars gussied up accordingly. The atmosphere was great, everyone laughing and happy.

Nice collage; we lived near an area where owners of vintage Airstream trailers would meet once a year. It was fun to see some of these still on the road.

COOOL !
For hippies, you can come and see the "Coccinelles" Volkswagen in August in Menton. I have so many pictures of the exhibition.
I usually don't like cars, but these old ones tell us about a way of life. They're really funny.
Love the collage.
Today, I've taken a picture of a Red 2CV in the street, for a following Ruby Tuesday : )

This must have been the best fun. And Catherine the Coccinelles in August is something I've never covered on Menton's blog so thanks for the reminder. This year I'll try and get there.

I had an aancient 2cv that I bought for 600 francs in 1972. It broke down in front of the Eiffel Tower after I'd just sold it a year later to someone. Never moved again. I guess it missed me...
