Sky Watch: Corniche de l'Esterel
The Corniche de l'Esterel is the coast road that runs from Cannes to St Raphael. If you get a chance to go insist on being a passenger: the views across the sea and the red rocks of the Esterel are magnificent. And try to do the trip in Winter on a bright, sunny day after a Mistral so the air is free from pollution and the colours are even more intense..
(You need to go in Winter because the rest of the year the road's one long traffic jam...I took this in Summer on a fairly windy day in a queue of traffic)
There are lots more Sky Watch photos to be enjoyed here

I love the sea and you have captured this moment perfectly.
I have been on that road! Thank you for the beautiful reminder. I love the boats bobbing up and down.
C’est une belle photo qui donne l’envie d’être là-bas … Passez un très bon vendredi et week-end … Amitiés
The sky is gorgoues, but the WATER! Oh, I love the water. Excellent shot!
What a fantastic photo! Great picture for skywatch!
This is really beautiful. I can imagine what it must be like standing at that wall. There are so many boats in that little cove and then darting across the water in the distance. Just beautiful!
What a stunning view! Gorgeous place.
Angela, this is such a beautiful place. We all want to be there (for a while) despite the traffic jams and the pollution. I take the advice and come in winter!
