The Circus Comes to Town..

Valbonne is a village in Alpes-Maritimes, in the south of France, very popular with tourists and my stamping ground. I don't actually live in the village itself but benefit from its advantages like this circus parade..
The occasion is the Fete de St Roch and as part of the celebrations the Arlette Gruss circus paraded a selection of its animals through the centre of the village. These sweet ponies led the procession..

The ponies are beautiful and how nice of their trainers to wear red to compliment the BW ponies for your photo. I think the idea of this little circus parading through town is delightful. I hope we see many more photos. Which of these two towns do you call home? Are the very close to each other?

Virginia: Valbonne is 7 minutes from home by car and Nice about 40 minutes. Valbonne is very picture postcard but quite small..
Thanks for the encouragement.
Babooshka: It really isn't so far. Take Easyjet from Liverpool in the off peak season...
